SAINT JOHN THE BAPTIST ALTARPIECE

This exceptional piece of work dating from around the year 1504 was the first of a series of altarpieces manufactured in Antwerp  to be imported into Spain. It is a fine example of specially commissioned work. The altarpiece is complemented by a predella and wings made in Castilian workshops.
