SAINT JOHN THE BAPTIST ALTARPIECE

HALLMARKS 

Two Antwerp stamps of hands appear on the feet of the reliefs of the Presentation of the Head Before Herod and the Exhumation of His Remains. They also appear at the foot of the image that gives the altarpiece its name. Two stamps of hands also appear in the scene depicting the Preaching and the Arrest but, in this particular scene, there is more distance between them.
