SCIENTIFIC ANALYSES 

• Chemical analysis of the polychrome decoration. Mercedes Barrera. Restoration Dossier compiled by the Centre for Conservation and Restoration of the Cultural Property of the Regional Government of Castile and León. 1988 (unpublished). 19 samples were taken.

- Preparation with a base of chalk and protein glue.

- Flesh tones painted using white lead and vermillion.

- Blues, greens and blacks with a foundation of basic copper carbonate, green clay oxide and organic black pigmentation.

- Superficial layer of natural gum.
