Careful restoration work needs to be carried out on this altarpiece in order to restore the presumably delicately featured figures to their previous state and also restore the original polychrome decoration, both of which would add new worth to this beautiful work of singular charm, as may be appreciated in the great variety of headdresses worn by the people present in the scene of the Feast of Herod.
