OBSERVATIONS

This relief in the National Archaeological Museum, the group of figures making up the Swooning of the Holy Virgin with St. John, the Holy Women and the Longinos and his companion scenarios are repeated in a similar fashion in other works conserved in Utrecht, Amsterdam, Chartres and Saint Agnan-sur-Erre, France. Small variations in the figures, however, would appear to suggest that different moulds based on a source of common inspiration were used.
