The altarpiece of the Chapel of the Salamanca family is a novel combination of woodcarving from the manufacturing centre of Antwerp mixed with Hispanic altarpiece tradition, more specifically from Burgos, the result of which is a truly exceptional piece of high quality work that was manufactured around the year 1510.
