HALLMARKS

Stamps of Antwerp depicting hands were discovered on the base of three reliefs on the predella: one in the scene of each donor, another two under the shroud upon which the body of the Dead Christ is lying in the Lamentation relief and yet another at the feet of the Holy Woman located to the right of the same scenario. They appear twice more in the lower part of the Road to Calvary. Stamps may also be seen at the feet of St. Peter and above the head of the Apostle standing next to the boat of St. Julius
