THE WAY TO THE CALVARY ALTARPIECE

OBSERVATIONS 

As the study led by Périer-D’Ieteren based on the use of the characteristic molds of the figures substantiated, several of the figures appearing on this altarpiece are identically repeated on other works, even those displaying a different iconography. This is the case of the three Holy Women located to the left in the background who appear in exactly the same posture in another of the altarpieces in the Convent of Segovia: namely, the altarpiece dedicated to the Holy Burial of Christ.
