Later frameworking with imitation Gothic tracery, gilt on dark red bole.

The wood has been eaten away in several places by woodworm and volumes have been lost.

Complete polychrome redecoration in flat colours that smothers everything, including the side panels. Several layers of said decoration may be observed in faces and beards. Traces of later attempts to clean or strip the work have resulted in different layers of paint being mixed together. Traces of posterior selective retouching efforts may also be observed.

As a result of these clumsily-applied layers of polychrome decoration, the figures are completely swamped in paint. Consequently, any possible quality of the carved work is completely hidden.
