Several restoration/conservation interventions have taken place over the past few years:
- In 1990, a team of National Heritage restorers carried out a series of operations in situ:
• Dismantling the altarpiece
• Consolidation of support and polychrome decoration
• Reconstruction of decorative elements (stars, pinnacles, corbels)
• Cleaning
• Volumetric reintegration
• Stucco work and pictorial reintegration
• Application of a protective varnish
- In 2002, fumigation using methyl bromide and the application of an infestation removal product to non polychrome decorated surfaces.
- In 2012, work undertaken to superficially clean surfaces, carry out a complete photographic sweep and take samples for posterior analysis by AOR, Artes y Oficios de Restauración company.
