THE PASSION ALTARPIECE

OBSERVATIONS 

Similarities observed regarding the composition of the altarpiece, the attitudes of the figures and the folds and pleats of garments between the  scene of the Descent From the Cross and another representation of the same biblical episode belonging to another ancient altarpiece that was later incorporated into the doors of the castle of Enghien, a town located southwest of Brussels, all serve to ratify the origin of the altarpiece.
