In the course of the restoration work that is currently underway (2013-2014), the following scientific analyses are being carried out:
- Computerised Axial Tomography (TAC)
- The dendrochronological study of the oak panels and beams
- The chemical analysis of the different layers of polychrome decoration, the main results of which are:
Very thinly-applied white chalk preparation coat with animal glue.
Gilt on translucent light brownish-orange mordant with white lead, minium and soil in linseed oil with a small percentage of diterpene resin.
Flesh tones based on white lead, vermillion and calcite in linseed oil.
Applied brocades with wax and conifer resin fillings.
Azurite applied to a black background of vegetable charcoal.
Greens made from verdigris and cupric resinate.
