The altarpiece from Vitoria - incidentally, the last altarpiece manufactured in Antwerp to be currently conserved in our country - dates from almost the end of the production period. Though it appears to be fairly traditional as far as its reliefs are concerned, the altarpiece is considered  to be the finest example of its kind due to its incorporating the new proposals of Renaissance Mannerism regarding decoration and design. Upon completion of its recent restoration process, the altarpiece was returned to the place of worship it was originally intended for.
