Simple polychrome decoration dominated by gilt (brilliant on clothing and reliefs and matte on hair, crested areas and fine detail) and partially repainted azurite blue. This bi-chromacy is occasionally broken by the red glaze used in the linings of mantles, silver leaf with glaze, small green areas and a faint tiled floor with applications of oranges, blues, greens, reds, pinks and whites.
Flesh tones are pale and highly contrasted with black lines picking out the eyes. Lips are accentuated and cheeks have high blushes.
Decorative techniques:
• Punching with individual instruments and toothed wheels in order to create assorted motifs amongst which a rhomboid-shaped pattern with round schematic flowers is particularly relevant.
• Silver gilt
•Red glaze on metal foil
• Sgraffito in blue, red and white. Parallel lines, simple convoluting vine leaf patterns and schematic stars.
